Завершився 10-тижневий дистанційний навчальний курс “Ukrainian Language, Culture and History” для іноземних студентів та співробітників закладів-партнерів, проведений у межах асоційованого партнерства Черкаського національного університету імені Богдана Хмельницького з Європейським університетським альянсом E³UDRES², тісного співробітництва з Old Dominion University (USA) та за ініціативи Відділу міжнародних зв’язків ЧНУ ім. Б. Хмельницького.

Дистанційний навчальний курс, який розробила і викладала з 06.10.2025 до 09.12.2025 рр. доцентка кафедри всесвітньої історії та міжнародних відносин Анжела Іржавська, був спрямований на: ознайомлення іноземних студентів та викладачів з історією, культурою, традиціями та звичаями України, навчання початковому рівню володіння українською мовою, формування уявлення про українську національну ідентичність. Слухачі курсу із захопленням і великим інтересом сприймали інформацію та засвоювали матеріал навчальних модулів. Атмосфера спілкування з учасниками курсу була особливою: вражені стійкістю українського народу в умовах війни, вони висловлювали щиру та всебічну підтримку Україні в боротьбі проти агресора.

Курс завершився врученням сертифікатів та отриманням відгуків від учасників курсу “Ukrainian Language, Culture and History”:

 

«Dear Professor Anzhela,

I would like to tell you that I really enjoyed the Ukrainian language and culture course.

There has been a large Ukrainian community in Portugal since the 1990s. The Ukrainian community in Portugal has more than 60,000 people and here at the Polytechnic University of Setúbal we have had several students from Ukraine.

But although we have some proximity to Ukraine because of the large community living in Portugal, the truth is that we don't know much about your country. Secondary school history and geography programs say very little about Eastern European countries, their language and culture. When it comes to Ukraine, everyone knows about Chernobyl and little else.

Ukraine was seen as being quite like Russia, although since the war began, there is now a different view. Even so, we have no idea about your history and culture, and especially about your people and the difficulties they have had to endure in order not to be swallowed up by Russia. What the russians call nazis are just people who want to preserve their identity and their roots. They want to live their lives freely and make their own decisions.

Thank you for showing us the soul of Ukraine!

I hope that soon, in peace, I will be able to do an Erasmus program at Cherkasy University and meet you in person and give you a big hug.

Thank you for your strength and resilience, Ukraine will be free!
